Undoubtably the UK version is genius.

They are very different animals though (The US version already has almost 4 times as many episodes) and I think in transposing it for the American market they have done an amazing job.

It is a really strong ensomble cast and the show is consistently funny, much funnier than Extras, 5 Men, The Dumb Adventures of Stupid Elaine, How I Met Your Mother, Joey, My Family, Till Death, Help Me Help You or just about any other crap they pump out on air as a comedy.

Re: NBC Pickups

I enjoy both versions. The UK version was brilliant, especially the way they tied it all up with that final christmas special.

The US version was a bit slow to start but once they got away from copying the UK scripts it really found its feet and took off. The US version has been able to introduce more characters and show you more of the main characters lives. I cant get enough..

Unfortunatly its a hard show to get people hooked on. I'm trying to find an episode at the moment to use as a teaser to get someone interested in the series.

Re: NBC Pickups

I dunno. I actually think the 12 episode season works better. More content less filler.

Re: NBC Pickups

Hooray!! Somebody else likes The Office (as opposed to all those who look at me like I've got cancer when I say I like it...).

Re: NBC Pickups

Great news more Office!
