  • Jackie O - fantastic! Why not Jo Stanley and Fifi Box too? And maybe Alan Jones.
  • Nice one, Josh! I'd forgotten about that Daria ep...

So, they're basically trying to do The Chaser's War On Everything with a single host and changing guests?

I don't reckon they'll pull it in a hurry - gotta keep their Australian "drama" quota up.
  • Having been at the shooting of the pilot, there's a couple of things I should mention.

Jackie O is a late addition - as a replacement for Fifi Box! Personally, I prefer Box over O.

As for the longevity of the show, the pilot was a lot more punchy than the old Saturday night show, has better talent with more direction and I suspect there's going to be more oversight from 9 management as to content, rather than Mick being given carte blanche by Jamie, as he was for the previous show.
  • It will run until around 2015, because Australia loves crap TV shows. And this sounds like total crap.
  • More shit casting news with Channel 9 announcing Nikki Osborne will be part of the show. As in Nikki Osborne brain dead bimbo QuziMonkey co-host.

If her efforts on QuizMonkey are anything to go by, the show will be bursting with humour.
  • i guess in theory, having more shows that dissect media and news is a good thing, (a world with both John Stewart & Colbert is better than just the one?) But the problem is that CH9... are just incapable of making watchable tv. Could be worse - it could have Richard Wilkins.
  • Well, I'll be giving it a bash because Tuesday nights are pretty vacant on FTA, apart from the police procedurals and serious stuff on ABC/SBS.
