Ep 207: Modern Family, Twilight Zone
*sound of crickets*
This idea of putting more news on TV is a lot of rubbish. Firstly the brave executive who takes away my episodes of the Simpsons will get a stern talking to from me (in a ACMA kind of way).
Secondly how much news can a network "make up". There is only so much "ligimiate" news. Then the rest is how many pimples ______ (insert name of dumb blonde bimbo here) currently has.
Thanks for letting me get on my soap box.
If you haven't already watched it - she plays a hilarious cheerleading coach in the pilot of Glee.
Also, I love that your tags list Norway and Spoilers in that order. Priceless.
On the topic of Eurovision, I thought the Julia/Sam show was great. It was so refreshing to hear commentary from people who actually wanted to be there.
I do love the Jane Lynch. I haven't watched Glee yet because I'm thinking it might be frustrating to have to wait so long for ep 2.
Eurovision is such an interesting programme as it has so many levels it can be enjoyed on - we are super selective about who gets an invite to our party as we don't want people here who enjoy it only on a camp level. Sure, we still do shots when there is a key change, a a feature on the night is a cheeses of Europe board, but there is also a strong emotional investment in the outcome. You should get actor/comedian Geoff Wallis on to talk about it as he is Melbourne's foremost Euro fanatic. He even got a letter from Terry Wogan's brother!

Some folks from my Livejournal list are getting very excited about Glee, but then a lot of these folks get very excited about the most delightful trash, on the basis that the more craptastic something is, the more hilariously entertaining it will surely be.
By the way, thanks to Josh putting the link up, I've just bought True Blood from I Do Buy It, so I'm doing my best to keep you all supplied with filthy lucre.
Sorry to get away from Eurovision (but still on SBS), just so's you know, SBS currently shows the Tour de France live once it starts showing it at about 10 or 11pm each night, but this is after each stage begins, so the telecast always misses the first 100 km or so of each stage. I expect/hope that SBS 2 will start showing each stage earlier, so we get the entirety of each stage live.
I know at least two people who are excited about this...and, yes, I'm one of them...
PS Josh: got your shout-out a few weeks ago. I am sitting patiently...
PPS Brett: Love "arse-hat".
PPPS Hi John!
