Dexter is definiatly my top show of the moment. Well equal with Torchwood which is great. I just love the premis of it.

I started reading the book yesterday. I'm about 1/4 of the way through and so far the show is quite faithful.

I'm sure I'll talk about it tomorrow night on the show.

The credits say that the show is based on the book Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. It looks like there is a series of books, Dearly Devoted Dexter is the second book and the third will be Dexter in the Dark.

I'm tempted to go out and grab the books but I dont want to spoil the tv show.

Didn't even know it was a book. However, knowing that now makes more sence. It does have a "book" feel to it in terms of story content.

That would be my tip, assuming the book is more or less Series 1.

It will be interesting to see whether they try to structure Series 2 in the same way.

Has anyone read the book?

Great news!

I wonder if they will catch the Ice Truck killer at the end of this season and then move onto a new mystery next year like they do with Veronica Mars ?
