Too much dust - too much lugging heavy boxes around - too much packing heavy boxes - too little sleep - too long without net connection - it goes on...

At least, now, I'm back online at home and can get back into the swing of things. I've actually had a neck spasm that I got some good drugs for today, for the last 3 days, at the end of a dry coughing spell that, I think, caused the spasm.

I'm a bit shocked the bitmetv account isn't active - I've had the bmt torrents available since I downloaded them and I had a good ratio - 15GB more than I'd DLd. I'll have to check if I can log in and see what's going on...

Kerrie, I got the best new toy for xmas - DVD/HDD recorder with DivX playback and DVB tuner. You should come around sometime and we can watch together. I've been saving Dexter and have the whole series here waiting for a good session...

BB

Re: Boxcutters Special Episode Alpha

Pretty sure it was acid. ;-)

Re: Boxcutters Special Episode Alpha

Kerri I'll hook you up. No probs

Brett, I notice that your bitme account is disabled...what's the G.O. ?

To get on topic, I LOVED the show! just finished listening to it this arvo and the shambolickness of it all was very funny and even though Brett was either on Acid or (as he says) over tired, I thought it had a hell of a lot of energy and heaps of laughs.

So yeah even though you guys were against it I really hope you do it again next year. Hell if you continue you meteoric media rise and are on the radio or (god forbid) on the box yourselves next year maybe you could do another "ordered items show" for those of us who "knew you when" :)

Alex Boxcutter.

Re: Boxcutters Special Episode Alpha

I'm glad you're my friend Kerrie - I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes, sorry about the download factor. Twelve months ago I was hammering Josh for the same reason - too much of his best & worst hadn't screened here. A year later we're all doing it.

I think unfortunately it is the nature of the beast to some extent. Whilst television gets better and better in some respects, the manner in which it is treated by the networks in this country gets worse and worse.

Rob is spot on. If you can get yourself a pc where it is comfortable to watch (not just possible - most pcs aren't set up for tv watching) or a DivX dvd player I am sure the boxcutters family can help sort you or any other family members out.

Re: Boxcutters Special Episode Alpha

As long as you have a DVD player that can play DivX (or .avi) files I'm sure no small number of boxcutters would oblige you with .avi-filled dvds for your viewing pleasure. DivX compatible players can be found for around $65. Otherwise you can play the files through your computer. At it's simplest, file-sharing is people sharing what they have, after all.

Re: Boxcutters Special Episode Alpha

Ross is my friend because I really enjoyed the Special Episode Alpha and got a lot of laughs out of its shambolickness. But I'm a bit frustrated that most of your best shows are things I haven't seen because I'm not able to download and they haven't screened on free-to-air. Am I the last of a dying breed, with no cable and ancient dial-up technology? It's hard for us fossils to keep up :-(

As with last year, my best TV moments were generally courtesy of the video store. Although a recent free-to-air highlight was seeing series 6 of The West Wing on the ABC, right where I finished up on DVD - two eps a week, back to back with no ads. Gotta love that.
