Ep 207: Modern Family, Twilight Zone
I watched the whole season of dexter in streaming because I my hard drive is nearly full.

Re timeshift/ad viewing: Are you telling me that iQ sends back info about how I watch a recorded program, ie: at which points I ffwd?? If that's the case, I'm going home to check my contract because I don't recall seeing anything in there about that.
As for when the laws changed here about recording programs, call me a cynic but it probably coincided with Foxtel's iQ rollout.
Josh - you've got magic underpants??
Re UK TV licences: Good question about tv via PC, Brett - and the answer appears to be "yes"
*Awesome - a prize for a wrong answer! Next you'll be telling me that I'm a great singer and should go on Australian Idol. (I do appreciate it, though, and I was genuinely surprised. cheers!)
Finally, I apologise... it's my fault that people searching for Georgie Parker are coming to the blog, but it's Brett's fault for the toplessness.
(for anyone not familiar with it, Google at your peril and definitely NSFW - you have been warned)

H_H, I agree that the skits on The Nation were particularly lame, although I actually expected Jackie O to be worse.
7 and TiVo - ugh. 'Hey publics, buy our crippled technology and be happy!' DRM is baby-killing evil incarnate.
Good luck Mick, but I'll be surprised if it surpasses the eight episode run of The Mick Molloy Show.
This time it's less laidback-larrikin and more variety-host-for-hire, which is just weird. Like when Bob Dylan joined the Travelling Wilburys.
Um, I feel like I'm watering a dead plant.
I think I was just happy "Quizmonkey babe" Nikki Osbourne didn't get to do anything but look awkward over the closing credits.
Not a patch on the original Mick Molloy Show; that was great as I remember. Much better cast too with Bob Franklin and others (exactly who escapes me right at this moment).
To compare with the pilot there are some curious differences...
The Fifi Box/Jackie O switch - if I had to watch her roll her fucking eyes once more I was going to lose it.
Akhmal looked tired and old - might have just been a big night out on Monday...
There was NO interview on the pilot. My theory was that 9 mgt insisted that he do it and then, chatting to an old 9 insider today, I heard that with Micallef's show on 9, they forced him to do the interviews and they wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened with The Nation.
The Peter Garrett interview was horrible - sycophantic bullshit full of Dorothy Dixers that even Garrett seemed completely uncomfortable with, no matter that it was a massive opportunity for a free kick. Molloy is NOT an interviewer - especially not a political interviewer.
A number of the inserts were used in the pilot, including the Osama party - cringe - and the nasty Lavinia - once more with passion... please? Steve Curry had done the same thing with another celeb - I SO hope he does something different next week.
As long as Mick doesn't fake piss on the set, I think they'll run this out to its full contract length and probably renew it. I saw an ad last night for the return of Comedy Inc. If they can bring that back, they have to let Mick run...
Without the interview there'd have been room for something a bit more sensible. That Lisa McCune thing would have been been better placed in the middle of the show.
Meh, first nights are always a bit clunky. I get the feeling Molloy Boy and 9 will constantly be pulling in different directions until the show is axed next week.
Contrast that with The Nation, which (a) is going to need a few more fundamental changes, (b) has unknown longevity and (c) is in a higher profile timeslot. It's got risk written all over it, regardless of how well it did on its first night (9's claiming it beat Numb3rs in Melbourne and hit the 16-39s pretty squarely).
*This is an observation on advertising, not a comment that Molloy is in trouble already...
Your search - “semi-solid pensioners pork†- did not match any documents.
I don't get the joke.
Great little show The Riches. Got better and better right up to last week's finale, with layer on layer of complications and mess. Looking forward to season 2.
