Ep 207: Modern Family, Twilight Zone
It's always nice to have a bit of a reference.
great to listen to you on my iRiver whilst wandering the isles of coles
only this time 'live' on the radio, rather than as a podcast whilst walking the isles.
A bit more on the IPTV.
A few isps are looking at doing this (rather than the premium priced bigpong)
TPG and Internode are both ramping up thier hardware and speeds. ADSL2+ is really needed to deliver the size and scale of the files that this type of service will require.
Its unclear a) what content will be provided, will it be live, exclusive stuff or repeats of the simpsons and C.O.P.S.?
b) if the service will be bundled in the plan and if the downloads will be counted to the normal monthly usage.
once again 'illegal' file downloads are easier, cheaper and faster than trying to do it the corpotare way.
uncensored and immediate downloads will reign until its easier to go the official path
(remember the issues with the sony rootkit on music cds last year????)

This is why I'm stuck on dial up (my fight is listed at http://www.da011.uni.cc/ ).
I do agree that IPTV would be a good delivery method, but we would need better speeds and bigger download limits to do this, and until Telstra change the backhaul systems, and even speeds at wholesale levels (or competitors offer wholesale) it wont be any good. Of course who should be blame------- The GOVERNMENT!
I almost had to stop the car.
Biggest ironic moment last week: my reception of your first radio broadcast was "interfered with" in my area by someone FM-transmitting a podcast around 102.7 MHz!
